Romford Tonight - A brief look

WakingNed writes "Evening All, been quiet of late I know but I missed my DD friends and thought i'd drop off my thoughts on tonights action down at my beloved Romford.
My NAP I tissued at 4/6....I woke up this morning and booom...4/6 available with that firm we are all dodging. I say, differences aside for one night, lets fill them in and steam into the best two bend performer of the past year at 7.30 in the shape of READY STAR. Well drawn, class performer and a moderate race from the level he's been competing at. Red is running well and the likely danger bar a hash of the start by RS while Charlies Ardmayle Ace will be using this as a step towards a four bend turnout in the coming weeks. We wish him well.
The next race on the card is the Greyhound equivalent of Italy vs Spain, I think they labelled Italy as playing Anti-football! Well this race looks one to avoid with very little to get me excited...pop down n get your scampi n chips while this is being settled.
The 8.01 I couldn't be strong on anything but in the 8.17 I think KERRYLANE RUBY could represent a touch of value in a bitches only contest. The draw is key for this black 'n white as she breaks so much better from the middle cans. Her exploits over six bends didn't see her truly excel so this drop back to four is no problem. Being only her third run back since a break she'll be plenty fit enough and gaining first run can prove decisive here. One of her 3.69/70 breaks can see her lead up and as long as Nightshade doesn't turn too handy we should have majors. Droopys Geisha has pace and is down in class here but may get tapped for early by the selection who is a generous 7/2 on the RP tissue! Yes please!!
It's always a risky proposition backing dogs who lack a look round this venue but if there's ever a race to take such a risk it's in one of these moderate maidens like the 8.32. DROOPYS DYMPNA scooted up in 29.69 round Hove l.t.o which is fast in the context of this race. She is improving at a rate of knots and is very well related. A certain Bubbly Totti is her brother while the decent Droopys Arsene also boasts the same bloodline. I'm confident this extra yardage will suit this Hove raider and another bonus is the gift of the pinging box which will suit her early pace asset. The opposition look moderate at best. Four bend performers being tried over further looking to answer stamina questions but it's not the trip i'm concerned about, just a slight reservation about handling the track on first look which tempers enthusiasm.
The 8.48 is tricky heat. I've sided with OSCARS CRAFTY who looks to have the safest draw and after a sluggish start last week can hopefully turn up with trapping boots tonight to make all on the outer.
GOOD LUCK CHARM has a 50% strike rate drawn three here and she's hitting form at just the right time to score for us tonight. A recent all the way win round Mildenhall suggests she's can oblige here where all three wins have come when clad in the white jacket.
The nights feature is a good contest on paper but if DROOPYS NELSON breaks in front go line up for your winnings. Cracking animal when in front and showed his best side on Monday night. I'm hopeful of a similar performance and think he should lead the inner up no dangers. The main threats are out wide but they could cause each other bother which would be handy for our claims.
I've not backed him outright as he wasn't in best form approaching this but tonight he'll form part of a double with the NAP to give me something to watch.
